Welcome to the International School of Awareness

September 2010

The last month has brought both joy and sadness.  They often say love and hate are closely related but I believe joy and sadness are also closely related.  The massive wave of change flowing through earth and everything on earth is coming to an end but it brings in its wake, smaller waves of change until eventually in three to four months the rippling effect will become more stable.  During the next few months the changes will still be noticeable but there are opportunities to enjoy living and life.

It is up to the individual to be aware of the positive aspects of the waves of change and grasp those aspects with both hands.  Therefore when you see someone you care about reacting in a way that is different, enjoy their joy when the change is a positive achievement, or offer them gentle humour if the change has created sadness.  Do not forget yourself and try to consciously spend a little time each day to find something to make you smile, even if the changes have taken you out of your comfort zone.

You may realise there are things you may be able to change. Should you have the time and energy to change them that is all to the good, but if not, then do not be hard on yourself. There will be times when you may wish to change something but know you cannot as it is not your responsibility but needs changing by others or at a later date. In such situations you have to be wise enough to let it go and trust someone else will make the change at the right time.

Next month has a new look web site and you can read every page of this in another language.

Are you in travelling distance of Lancaster?  If so, the one day workshop at Dacrelands on ‘…the Reality of Living’ aims to assist you to look at your life as it is now, which includes looking at the effects the waves of change are having on you.   From this workshop you can take away with you the means to enjoy the changes with minimal disturbance to yourself.
